file-roller dialog box in French??

I'm running Warty on an i386 machine.

File-roller started doing something weird.

I was unzipping a rather large archive (an .iso file) and I got the
dialog box that was supposed to tell me it was working and please
wait, or something like that.

Anyway, the dialog was in French, or something like it!

Now I don't have anything against French, I just don't speak enough of
it for it to be helpful in this situation.

I tried logging out and checking my language settings on GDM. The only
settings I have are:

1. System default
2. American English
3. Posix/C English

I selected #2 and logged back in again. I tried to unzip another large
file and viola (sorry), the French dialog box was back!

Everything else on my desktop is English (American). Is there some
other setting somewhere that could be causing this?

I searched Google and the Gnome bugzilla and saw nothing that looked
like it was related to this.
