Power Down problem

Thanks guys.  =D>  But, boy do I feel dumb!! :oops:  I could see where
to put the "acpi=force " [WHICH DID NOT WORK EITHER, along with trying
" acpi=off apm=power-off", IT DID NOT WORK EITHER.]. Oh, forgot to
mention. Adding "apm' did not work either.

I search all of the fourms and threads and could not find a fix for
this problem. 

For me  it's ok, but I have put UBUNTU on my sisters computer. Of
course, I had to tell her how great it was not having the blue screen
of death and that I would not have to come and fix her puter evey week,
etc.

So can someone please help me with this???? [-o<
