Enabling sound in VMWare? /dev/dsp is busy

I have VMWare installed in Hoary. It runs Windows 2000. At the start it 
says /dev/dsp is busy.

I read that I should use a wrapper like running "esddsp vmware" for ESD 
to support sound for vmware. But I don't see esddsp program in Hoary, 
Synaptic also doesn't know about this.

What can I do to have sounds enabled with VMWare?
