Installing DEBS

AH !!  At last something I can answer, being a Ubuntu/Debian newbie
myself ! :-)

Asked the same question a month ago when I downloaded the Warty ISO.

It is so simple you will love it.

Just open a terminal or switch to a console, and go to the directory
containing your .deb file, then just type:

"sudo dpkg -i  my_program.deb"

and it will install your program in an eye blink. Then you can look in
Synaptic and you will find it there :o)
