Openoffice - writing aids not comming up

Hi Frank

if you can
- what is the output of
$ dpkg -l | egrep '(openoffice|spell)'
- what is the output of
$ locale
- then in openoffice under
tools->options->Language Settings->Languages
what is your 'Locale setting' and 'Default languages for documents set
to'
- out of
$ uname -a

I am most probably grasping at straws here ...
