.bash_profile not run when using graphical login

Whoops. So it does. Actually, I quite like the default path:-)

HOME is another matter. It requires USER and/or LOGNAME to be set for 
proper operation.





Judging from the clutter in my environment there's a lot of stuff on 
Sarge that _is_ configured with environment variables, will not work 
properly if they're not set.
