Linux Stand Alone Database?

Pretty cool. Those look as close as I have seen so far. However,
to completely match the ease of install of FileMaker/Access type
apps, the sql db would need to be embedded.

Like I have said many times in this thread, I'm not looking at
the advantages and disadvantages of this type of app, I'm just
looking to see if it exists. What most programmers hate about
FileMaker is probably one of the things that has made it so
successful, you can build databases with no technical knowledge
of the db engine or how to properly build relational databases.

Of course that can make for a catastrophe in the works (and I
have "repaired" many of them), but it does provide extreme ease
of use for the average desktop user. It would be really cool to
have this type of app at least available on Linux--GUI database
building with no separate install or required knowledge of the
db engine.
