Ubuntu will not install

Matt, 

I wish it were.  I reburned the CD using the lowest speed and tried it
on another box and it worked successfully.  I switched CD drives and the
problem still exists.  I am running older but pretty vanilla hardware in
that box but the problem persists.  I will throw on Red Hat just to see
if it installs but really want Ubuntu.  I love this distribution and
want to stay with it.  I am a relative noob so it may be something
stupid on my part.
