Hi
I've just downloaded ubuntu, and installed it.
It is nice to have a new debian-like installer which works with
new hardware.
I normally avoid desktop environments, but this gnome2.8 runs real
fast, amazing...
My question: I read somewhere (I forget where) that the root user is
disabled on ubuntu. How disabled? Perhaps that answer will answer the
next question: how do I enable it? Or, am I supposed to use sudo? etc.
regards,
Jan
