My CDBURNER devices have changed?!

No it uses scsi emulation if I remember rightly.
I've installed and reinstalled numerous linux
versions. Until I "polluted" my pc with WinXP this
never happened before.
Unforunatly I need to have WinXP for my SANS course
lab.
