I can't connect with my 56k modem. Configured the connection with pppconfig
during installation. It didn't detect my modem at /dev/ttyS0 (weird), I had
to enter it myself.
Told me /dev/ppp was missing, modprobed ppp* manually.
pon now dialed but connection failed. A part from /var/log/messages
Sep 22 20:37:25 localhost pppd[11501]: Serial connection established.
Sep 22 20:37:25 localhost pppd[11501]: Using interface ppp0
Sep 22 20:37:25 localhost pppd[11501]: Connect: ppp0 <--> /dev/ttyS0
Sep 22 20:37:25 localhost hal.hotplug[12775]: waiting for net info at
/class/net/ppp0
Sep 22 20:37:25 localhost hal.hotplug[12775]: Dont know how to wait for net
at /class/net/ppp0; sleeping 1000 ms
Sep 22 20:37:28 localhost pppd[11501]: Hangup (SIGHUP)
Any ideas? I had a few bugs during installation, I managed to work around
them and I'll report them later. I have to deal with this one first.
