Is your problem with the desktop and menu layout, which seems pretty good 
to me, or is it just a complaint about the documentation?

If it is documentation, I'm sure the Ubuntu team would appreciate their 
attention being *politely* brought to the problem.  I very much doubt that 
they have set out with the aim of annoying you in particular or anyone in 
general.
