installing full ubuntu system after choosing "custom"

hey folks,

in a class I'm teaching I had students install a CLI-only system by
choosing "custom" at the initial prompt when booting the install CD.
Now that they've seen the command line I'd like to get the full ubuntu
system installed.  Is it sufficient to choose the "ubuntu-desktop"
task in aptitude?  Will that pull in everything they need?
