Floppy drive weird behaviour. Hoary.

Thanks Norman,
That did the trick.
Stick floppy in drive, it gets auto mounted.
$ umount /media/floppy
Run the floppy formatter,
$ mount /media/floppy
Floppy disks now readable, writable etc.

The only thing I have noticed is that if you try to format a mounted
disk an error message occurs. So, make sure the disk to be formatted is
not mounted. Any help?
