Ubuntu must win this contract !!!

Just read here : www.linuxfr.org that in Brazil, the governement has
just decided to help millions of their citizens, with low income, to get
a computer, and they chose to use 100% free software !

Imagine, if they chose Ubuntu ! Millions of Ubuntu users all over
Brazil, WOW !!!!!! :o))))))))))

Please Mark S., take your space shuttle and visit Brazil, talk to their
president ! :o)))

However I am a bit surprised, they say that the PC will cost 500 Euros.
that sounds very expensive ! You can put a machine together for a lot
less, and probably a LOOOT less if you were to order millions of them
like seems to be the case here !
MAybe computer parts cost more in Brazil than in Europe ? Import
duties ?

I see that we have a Ubuntu-er in Brazil, what are your thoughts ??
