Upgrading using CD

I upgraded via the net, so I haven't tried it, but 'apt-cdrom add'
should be able to modify your sources.list file to include the contents
of the CD and then 'apt-get dist-upgrade' or 'aptitude dist-upgrade'
should install any newer package versions which are on the CD.  I'm not
a synaptic user, so don't know the equivalent procedure, if there is
one.
