Want to Restrict Gmail Pop Access

This is a general question, that's not really related to Gmail
specifically, but to my interaction with the list.

I am obviously using my gmail account for this list.  Over-all I really
like gmail.  But, I want to pop my personal mail to Evolution.  I want
to leave this list's mail on gmail's severs and access it through their
brilliant interface, that was really meant for surfing busy mailing
lists.

My question is this, has anyone figured out how to restrict pop access
to some mail, but let it through for other mail on their gmail account,
or any other pop based account?
