MySQL Error

Ok,
I've been using MySQL for a long time, and I have no idea what this
means. Hopefully someone with some Debian experience can help me out.
I am set up as user "gunksta" to recieve root's mail. I was checking
my mail from the system and found this:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
/usr/bin/mysqlcheck: Got error: 1045: Access denied for user:
'debian-sys-maint at localhost' (Using password: YES) when trying to
connect
Improperly closed tables are also reported if clients are accessing
the tables *now*. A list of current connections is below.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I know what mysqlcheck is. That's not the problem. But, who the heck
is debian-sys-maint?
I checked, there is no such user on my system. Should there be? What
about passwords? What permissions should this user be granted, system
wide and inside MySQL?
This is a new one to me. Any help is greatly appreciated.
