VNC Issues

It's definitely secure, and I find it runs faster (especially with 
compression on) -- until it hangs completely a few seconds or minutes into 
the session.

Anyone have any suggestions on ways to fix this? I'm using Putty on a WinXP 
machine to set up the tunnel and just using RealVNC's free viewer 4.1.1. Is 
it the encoding?
