Installation report for Acer TravelMate 8100

Here's my xorg.conf:

which seems to work fine in Ubuntu Hoary with the fglrx 8.10.19 module
installed from source. Make sure you modprobe the fglrx module, and you
rebuild it from source (run /lib/modules/fglrx/build_mod/make.sh and
/lib/modules/fglrx/make_install.sh).



I get around 2600fps in glxgears and about 500fps in fgl_glxgears at
present.



I've got everything working on my 8104 apart from the card reader and
DMA on the DVD drive : it's stuck at 1.6mb/s and nothing I do speeds it
up. Apart from that, the LAN/WLAN, cpu-scaling, display, trackpad,
bluetooth, usb and sound all work great now.
