A good point; While Word opens in the blink of an eye, as more and more
applications are added, my trust that Windows won't barf all over a
piece due in 5 minutes drops like a brick. Linux, on the other hand,
simply keeps chuggin' away.
Another thing rarely brought up during these OS battles is that Linux is
just more fun to work in. We don't have to go on the defensive about
every little self-percieved slight of Linux. What I liked about using
Macs were the number of artists and such who simply didn't care about
these OS wars -- they simply liked Macs because it made computing fun.
After a day dealing with Windows, opening up Linux is like a breather or
vacation.
