Does Ubuntu 5.10 work "out of the box" every time with the Mac mini? Having problems booting a new install.

I have installed Kubuntu 5.10 on the same Mac Mini without issue,
however, I let it have the entire hard drive. I also run 1280x1024.

Here is a nice write-up on Debian on the Mini:

Also, google "Linux on Mac Mini" and you will find a fair amount of
info.

FWIW, I just installed Gentoo on another Mac Mini w/o issue (so far,
still getting it set up the way I want it).
