ubuntu 5.1 keeps rebooting

[winfs winfs]

I have installed ubuntu 5.1 x64 and the installation completed without any 
error. However, ubuntu keeps on rebooting mid way throught the start up 
process. It reboots after reaching the item "HP Linux Printing...." .

When using the boot recovery option, it boots into the terminal screen. It 
reboots after I type "startx".Any help will be appreciated. Thanks
