prospect looking for /proc/ksyms instead of /proc/kallsyms

Trying to run prospect:

    erikd at mingus > sudo prospect ls

    Time: ls 
    Can't open /proc/ksyms
      - errno = 2 -- No such file or directory
          3.635 BUG at Line0517:linux_model.c Couldn't find "num_physpages" in /proc/ksyms.
    Warning: couldn't import System.map file - kernel profiles disabled.
    prospect: couldn't find "/lib/modules/2.6.12/oprofile/oprofile.o"

     NOTE: Prospect depends on a functional oprofile installation.  You can get
           oprofile from http://oprofile.sf.net. However, make sure to read the
           prospect README.INSTALL file since you may already have an oprofile
           distribution that was delivered with prospect, but not installed.
           Check the /usr/share/doc/prospect[-0.9.8b] directory.

I complains about not finding oprofile but:

    erikd at mingus > lsmod |grep oprofile
    oprofile               31232  0 

It also complains about a lack of /proc/ksyms whcih I believe has been replaced
with /proc/kallsyms.
