Neomagic MagicGraph 128ZV video card

I have a Neomagic MagicGraph AV256 on a Compaq Presario 1900T.  On my
older Craptop, I forgot which version of Presario it was, I had the
same card.  It is both video and audio, and both the A and the V work
in Windows.  The V works perfectly in Linux, unless I'm running Qemu on
a Windows host.  The Video works in Qemu with a Linux host, but the
Audio doesn't work at all in Linux.



The SAME card worked on the older latop, with Ubuntu 4 and Knoppix,
both in the Live and full installs.  I just can't figure out why it
won't work in the new laptop.



Any suggestIons?
