Dual Boot Problem

I don't understand it completely myself! When I tried to run Ubuntu after Windows, the NTFS security program blocked Ubuntu's access to the system. When I tried to run Ubuntu before Windows, Windows crashed! I got an error message that said " one of your memory files has been corrupted and cannot be read!' Then I got a blank screen! The only way I could get it started again was by booting from the Windows disk. Then I got an error message at boot that said "your SMART file on your hard drive has been damaged, Windows cannot boot from disk!" "Replace your drive unit, or contact the manufacturer.! Then it crashed again! I pulled out my Ubuntu disk, loaded it, reformatted the drive, installed, and it's been running fine ever since! No signs of damage, no crashing, no corruption! I installed the Windows on another drive, in another computer, and it worked fine also! No viruses! No adware or spyware!
Anyone got an explanation for me? Do I need to call an exorcist?

Yes, what are you talking about? Tell us what you did, step by step.
I've run Ubuntu next to Windows next to Kubuntu next to PCBSD next to
Debian. Never had any OS "take over" my CPU.
