Three newbie questions

Hit Start > Run, then type: cmd <enter>

type: ipconfig /all

you should see something similar to the output below. Look for your
network adapter, specifically for the line 'DHCP enabled', is it set
to yes or no? Are your machines behind some sort of FW, such as a
Linksys?
