Live CD configures sound, howto copy config to Ubuntu on HDB1

By running 
cat /dev/sndstat >ubuntu-sound.txt 

I managed to capture the sound settings for the system that uses the
inferior sound card.

I am  cannot find the same settings with the Live CD running.
