Hi

i've had trouble getting Mandrake 10.1 to work on a Solo Gateway laptop.
But am now considering wiping harddisk and installing ubuntu. has anyone
installed ubuntu on this type of laptop and what are my chances of getting
it to work? Or should i rather stick with debian testing?

cheers
wendel

Errors at start-up were related to cpufreq and pcmcia. The pcmcia card
works but the system breaks at shutdown during the step of shutting down
pcmcia services with the error message Trying to free non-existent resource
