'xhost +' does not work in warty

Well, using X over a ssh tunnel works but that
is not what I want and a total different story.
I would like to connect to the local/pc1228 XServer
in the old fast and direct way (no ssh encryption).
The way I did it the last 15 Years :)
If you allow remote accesses (with 'xhost +')
everyone should be able to connect the XServer
just giving the right server:display.screen
(e.g. xterm -display pc1228:0.0)
But not in ubuntu/warty :(
