I pulled a newer version (0.0.20050111-1-4.10ubp1) of wine by adding
the warty backports my /etc/apt/sources.list.

After not having much luck. I downloaded and install
WineTools(http://www.von-thadden.de/Joachim/WineTools/), followed the
install instructions then let it set up the wine directory. Winetools
has scripts for installing alot of the base system, plus alot
more(Office2000, Photoshop). I know have Internet Explorer 6 and Media
Player 5 working, and I did see a listing for installing the visual
basic runtime. It is kind of fun to see what will install :) , I
almost have Picassa2 working but its a bit ruff.
