intel536 compilation problems

well i recently bought this modem. I installed the kernel headers. tried 
compiling but it gives an error "no autoconf.h found. install kernel 
source" After  looking around in the scripts i saw that in config_check 
it would look for autoconf.h in /lib/modules. I changed all related 
lines to use /usr/include/linux instead but it still would complain that 
it can't find autoconf.h. Now i thought about installing the source 
package(which i did) but i have no idea how to configure it for building 
modules. Has anyone got this driver working?
