Hoary Bootsplash

Oh no... :o(

Next question is : will Hoary come with everything needed for people to
make the "normal"/"old fashioned" boot splash, like the one in Mandrake
of the Warty live CD.

A few month back, I was told that Warty DOES NOT allow for boot splash
at all   ! IIRC, something to do with the kernel lacking sometihng.

So hopefully, hoary's Kernel will come with everything it needs to make
a boot splash.
Also, would be great if someone knowledgeable in this domain, could
write a "How to" implement bootspash in Hoary, with a step by step
procedure on how to patch the kernel, if need be.
Could someone do that ??
