No issue - just no SVG support in any web browsers yet. This is the
first I've heard of any confusion, and I want them to be as simple to
use as possible - but I suppose I could add the extra step of gzipping
them up so people don't expect them to load in the browser window.
For what it's worth, the only invalid parts of that page are the
Inkscape generated SVG files. Everything else validates. :-)
