Hoary Array-5 on G3 iBook

I installed the array-5 version of Hoary on a 600 MHz G3 iBook. 
Overall it is encouraging, however I have a problem with my
resolution.  It is presently set at 640x480 (and should be 1024x768). 
Choosing from the menu "System" > "Preferences" > "Screen Resolution"
I am not able to change it from 680x480.

I have not found which file to modify to correct the problem.  Can
someone point me in the right direction with x.org?
