Alright, here's what "sudo apt-get install kubuntu-base kubuntu-desktop" says.

FYI I don't know what the difference is between packages that are "to
be installed", "recommended" and "NEW" (I didn't look closely at
packages here).

Also, this is a "bog-standard" system (as the Brits say). I have a few
extra apps installed (e.g. Bluefish 1.0 & Webmin from source) but
that's about it. Otherwise, it's a plain vanilla Hoary that's been
dist-upgraded through apt-get and Synaptic.
