My /etc/fstab looks like this:

proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
/dev/hda8 / ext3
defaults,errors=remount-ro 0 1
/dev/hda6 none swap sw
0 0
/dev/hda5 /mnt/debian ext3 auto,ro 0 1
/dev/hda7 /mnt/data ext3 auto 0 2
/dev/hda1 /mnt/windows ntfs auto 0 0
/dev/hda8 /mnt/extra ext3 defaults 0 0
/dev/hdc /media/cdrom iso9660 ro,user,noauto 0 0
/dev/hdb /media/dvd iso9660 ro,user,noauto 0 0
/dev/sde1 /media/usbstick vfat rw,user,noauto 0 0

So there is actually no big difference between the cdrom entry and the
usb entry. The option you mentioned is also set; otherwise the automatic
mount of CDs don't work either. But automatic mount of CDs work fine.
Are there other important configuration to be done? Must I install a
certain package?
