I'll have a look at that, thanks. I have the battery charge monitor
loaded, and it doesn't work. It isn't too much of an issue for me, since
~ my laptop is usually connected to mains, and if not, it's usually not
on for long enough to die on me. but it is an oldish laptop, so i'll
look into that apm/acpi.
