Good evening,
I upgraded to Hoary recently. This evening I have experienced several
system crashes. Gamin grabs all available cpu rendering the system
slow, then completly unresponsive. It seems to be triggered by
evolution sorting through VFolders, but I'm not sure.
At one one of the crashes I managed to get to a console that showed
this message scrolling by:
scheduling while atomic: gam_server /0xfffffffb/8077
I have attatched (compressed of course) the result of:
tail -n 50000 /var/log/syslog > syslog
Program versions:
gamin-0.0.23-0ubuntu3
libgamin0-0.0.23-0ubuntu3
linux-image-2.6.10-4-686 2.6.10-23 *
evolution-2.1.5-0ubuntu1
* Now I'm back on linux-image-2.6.10-3-686 2.6.10-19 where this problem
hasn't occured (in all my 15-20 hours of running it).
If you need more information, just ask and I'll do my best to answer.
- Petri
