How about installing new hardware AFTER system installation?

I installed Kudzu as well (Warty), just in case, up in space... I was
a little suprised that it wanted to configure all of my hardware, so I
skipped my network cards, just to be on the safe side. Instead, I
tried configuring my MS wireless mouse (thinking maybe I could get all
of the buttons to work. The response was:
sh: line 1: /usr/sbin/mouseconfig: No such file or directory
Even a newbie like myself can pick up on that Kudzu seems to be
expecting config files to be places other than where they actually
are. I assume this has to do with this originally being a Red Hat
tool? It is a package in warty-universe, so I have to admit I am a bit
mystified.
Cheers,
Brian
