mplayer problem

Yes, both /dev/dvd and /dev/cdrom point to hdc

I'm not sure if this is actually a problem with mplayer, as it seems to
play files from a firewire DVD drive perfectly  It just doesn't like
playing them from my IDE DVD drive.  I wonder why.
