Personally I prefer the deviant art wallpaper section. Especially the
"scenery" ( http://wallpaper.deviantart.com/scenery/ )and the "science
fiction" ( http://wallpaper.deviantart.com/scifi/ ) sections. There are
some AWESOME images there.

If you're not familiar with deviant art, don't be put off by the name.
There are a couple of questionable sections but on the whole it's just
artwork, photos, wallpapers etc - nigh on 10 million items submitted so
far. 

For the customised desktop junky it's an absolute must.
