Huh...why should it be on fire...you have me worried ?! :-/
My TV card works fine. But you got me curious. I checked dmesg output,
it seems that the 'mt2032' is related to the TV card's tuner.
So I made some expriments. I changed TV station and then did a
'tail /var/log/messages' to see if that would trigger any error
message. At first it did not. Then, I changed the station VERY rapidly,
using either the mouse wheel, or by keeping my finger on the Pg Up/Dn
key (for XawTV)...BINGO ! Everytime I switch channels too fast, I get
all these:

-------
Jan 29 22:42:05 localhost kernel: mt2032 spurcheck triggered: 2
Jan 29 22:42:08 localhost last message repeated 7 times
-------

messages in var/log/messages !
That's one problem solved. However, is this normal ? I am sure plenty of
people use this card, can someone with XawTV do the same and look
at /var/log/message ? Do you get error messages as well like I do ?

Ok, now what about other two problems...the garbage I get during boot,
about the RAM disk thing, then that 'vesa' failure.... :-/
