Ahh.. cable.. I haven't had much coverage with cable as DSL is bigger
here in Australia.. I wasn't aware that you could use cable like
that.. interesting..

Can you test something for me?
If you reset the cable modem (turn off then back on), does the modem
pick up and work again without any requirement of pppoe?
