wow, this is getting OT ;) but a quick google for "putty download"
generally does the trick when I'm in an internet cafe. Mind you, I would
be concerned about keyloggers; I'd use either external webmail or a
mail-only login for my account (same UID, same home dir, but /bin/false as
the shell) to avoid the danger of bad guys getting commandline access.
BTW it is odd that the US has so few net cafes; even Laos had a higher
number, in my experience. However, areas with high immigrant populations
now have quite a few of them, as far as I can see. I guess this is one
of those accidents of the market, like SMS use inside vs outside the US.
