Choppy Sound with Skype

Hi @all,

my connection with skype (skype-static from bootsplash.de) is very 
choppy whenever I talk to people. I tryed to skype echo123 to see 
whether the problem is on my side and it is. Syping echo123 from any 
other (Windows) machine in my network, the connection was perfect, hence 
the problem seems to lie within my notebook/linux.

Does anybody experience/experienced similar problems?
