You need to install the "samba" package with synaptic (the package
manager). Samba is the server to share files and printers with Windows
machines using the SMB protocol.
I don't remember correctly how you set up shares once you install that
package though.
I can't give better instructions because I'm running the beta version of
the next Ubuntu.
Hope it gives you a starting point.
