I had some problems installing the nvidia driver on slackware10 a week
or so ago and got round it with the
--kernel-name="2.6.7" --kernel-source="/usr/src/linux-2.6.7" option
added.
I dunno, they finally release nvidia drivers which work beautifully with
the 2.6 kernel just in time for the new 2.6.11 kernel which doesn't work
with the new nvidia drivers. It's a bloody merry-go-round.
Hope this helps (though it probably wont)
