Mounting USB flash disk synchronously

Hi,
i don't know if this is useful at all, just an idea:
create a file, same size as your USB disk (with dd)
mount it as a loop dev
put this and the USB disk in a RAID0 md dev
ehm, i just realized, it's no problem for a flash dev, but i think you
meant a USB hard disk, don't you? :>
