glxgears doesn't consume CPU

Well, it seems that glxgrears can do weird things. I just tried it
out on my different machines. The old AMD 1GHz with nVidia card
strted out with FPS on the 900's and CPU load of 4 % for user
processes. Setiathome was running, so the nice usage was at 99%.
Then I decided to stop seti and while I was fiddling to stop it, the
FPU went up to over 3000! When seti was stopped, the FPU returned to
the 900's, but now CPU user processes goes up to 46%
I think that glxgears do not always caclulate the FPU correct when
other processes are interfering.
But the CPU usage is a bit weird.
